Vintage Postcard 6C-K545 DeWitt Clinton Train, Henry Ford Museum, This replica of the famous "DeWitt Clinton: is displayed today as a part of the extensive transportation exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum.

In 1831, the original DeWitt Clinton became the first steam drawn train in Hew York State when it made a successful run from Albany to Schenectady. The wood burning locomotive averaged 8 miles per hour on its initial run of 17 miles.
